BPC-157 + TB-500 (Wolverine)
A two-peptide recovery blend that pairs BPC-157 with TB-500 in a single injection.
The basics
Tendons and ligaments heal slowly because they have a poor blood supply and few cells. This blend combines two peptides that act on different steps of repair in animal studies, BPC-157 on new blood vessel growth and fibroblast activity, and TB-500 (thymosin beta-4) on the migration of repair cells into injured tissue.
We review the studies, the potential uses and benefits, and the open questions in our research post, The BPC-157 and TB-500 Blend People Call Wolverine, and What the Science Can and Can't Say.
What the evidence looks like
Preclinical. No human study has tested the combination. The one animal study that did, a 2026 experiment in rat Achilles tendons, found that the pair added no benefit over either peptide alone. Progressive loading, protein, and sleep still do most of the work in tendon recovery.
Why patients ask about it
- Tendon and ligament injuries
- Recovery after surgery or a hard training block
- One injection instead of two
Good to know
- This compounded blend is not FDA-approved.
- We don't prescribe it to patients with active cancer.
- Both ingredients are prohibited in competitive sport.
The BPC-157 and TB-500 Blend People Call Wolverine, and What the Science Can and Can't Say
Combining BPC-157 with TB-500 is supposed to attack tendon healing from two directions. One rat study has tested the pair and found no added benefit, and the measures with real human evidence are less exciting and more reliable.
